24 Hours in Vegas

Created with flickr slideshow.

In this installment, Keren and I live a game we call "24 hours in Vegas" which is played exactly how it sounds.  Whenever we are really missing Vegas, we imagine "What if I was in Vegas right now and only had 24 hours to enjoy it.  What would you do"?  Fate dealt us an opportunity to live this formerly hypothetical scenerio and this is how we chose to live it.

E-147: Fancy Steak World

Random Vegas
Although the room number 2452 is a real room in Caesars Palace Augustus Tower, the actual room used in the movie “The Hangover” does not exist at the property.

Twitpic of the week

This week’s winner, I think, is the tale of two cities.  For a long time, Vegas was populated by an ever-growing collection of the most eclectic (some might say tacky) architecture in the world.  A medieval castle resides across the street from an Egyptian pyramid and the NY skyline.  However, the Vegas theme evolved into a singular note, thanks to the success of the Bellagio theme, the high-end theme.  Cosmopolitan and the buildings of City Center are direct reflections of that theme.  This week’s winner is from @MO_Lasvegas for a photo of north strip that I think documents the results of the change.  The picture, based on the angle, I’m guessing is from the polo towers or perhaps MGM, shows a large collection of modern skyscrapers dominating the strip.  But once again, Vegas’ eclectic personality can’t be stopped.  What captured my imagination is the thought of a Vegas novice enjoying the view of a random skyline only to find themselves confused to the extent of questioning, “Is that a mini Eiffel Tower?”  No, that’s Vegas
