It’s the icon of icons. Las Vegas wouldn’t exist as we know it today without her. She is as important to the evolution as the Flamingo, more so even. The Flamingo helped invent the strip. The Mirage saved and reinvented it after years of being the 2nd biggest gaming market in the US behind Atlantic City. It took something that transcended the imagination to change the game and become a monument to everything Vegas should be and a volcano in the desert to make a Mirage real.
